Corruption rift: Kebbi LG chairman slaps woman councilor

It was a mild drama on Friday in Fakai Local Government of kebbi state when the Executive Chairman of the Local Government Musa Rabiu Jarima slap a woman Councillor Hajiya Rakiya Musa at the council meeting over financial irregularities in the council.
Confirming the incident to newsmen on phone yesterday , the affected councillor Hajiya Rakiya Musa said that the rift started during the meeting when she rise a motion on the deduction of civil servants salaries in the local government.
She explained further that after narrating the people mind to the council member at the council meeting she said that civil servants are complaining that every month their salaries always been deducted while they continued employing new staffs paying them 15,000 thousand.
“The chairman connived with the finical department by doing what he wishes, since our assumptions in the office four months now thing are not moving fine between the executives and legislators in the council, he run the council the way he want”she lamented.
Hajiya Rakiya who represent Birnin Tudu Matsari ward said that after revealing all the irregularities between the chairman and the finance staffs that chairman stood up from is set and slap her with out any reason, “the drama happened in present of the eight councilors members, council secretary, security agencies and other.
