An Federal Capital Territory High Court, Kubwa, has adjourned hearing on application by the All Progressive Congress(APC) seeking to vacate the order stopping the March 26  National Convention to Friday, March 18.

The court arrived at the date after the new counsel for the APC, Shuaibu Aruwan SAN informed the court that the defendants have resolved the issue of representation. 

Objecting, counsel to the plaintiff,  Mike Enahoro Eba, submitted that rules allow seven days to respond, adding that the APC just introduced a new counsel. 

He asked the court to refused the application for adjournment saying that the business of the day was hearing of pending applications.

The court had granted Umoru’s application for an “interlocutory injunction restraining the 1st and 2nd defendants/respondent (APC and the chairman, Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni ), their allies, agents, representatives, associates or whoever is acting for them or through them from organising, holding or conducting the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in January and February, 2022 or any other date either before or after pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit.”
