The Dangote group has formally presented the Dangote Urea Fertilizer to the public.
Presenting the product during the Dangote Special Day at the ongoing 43rd Kaduna International Trade Fair, the Regional Manager, Dangote Fertilizer Limited (DFL), Agbana Isaac Oladele said, the Dangote fertilizer plant currently has capacity to push out a minimum of 120 trucks per day and is expected to manufacture 3million metric tons of Urea fertilizer per annum.
He explained that the 3 million metric tonnes can meet both local demand and also for export to other West African countries, which will generate $400 million annually.
He said the uniqueness of the fertilizer plant apart from the fact that it is producing; it also focuses on supporting farmers’ training, education and development.
He noted that the conglomerate is establishing laboratories across the country, and even mobile laboratories where they can drive around and take soil samples for proper examination to effectively grow the agricultural outputs across the country.
