As part of the effort to ensure that democracy dividends of are sustained in the state, Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has approved the creation of new additional ministries with a view to move the state forward. This was contained in a press release signed by the Secretary to the state government Alhaji Sule Bage and made available to newsmen yesterday in Gombe. The statement also said the governor has appointed new commissioners to handle the affairs of the new ministries.
Those appointed were Alhaji Shehu Durbi, Commissioner for Lands, Alhaji Bakura Mohammed Bajoga, Commissioner for Trade, Ms. Asma’u M Iganus, Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Hajiya Sa’adatu Mustapha Commissioner for Women Affairs, Alhaji Abdullahi Kulani Commissioner for Cooperatives and Poverty alleviation, Hajiya Fatima Abubakar commissioner for Metro and urban Development, Alhaji Babagoro, Commissioner for Animal Husbandry and Nomadic Affairs and Mrs. Rabi Daniel, Commissioner for Environment.
The governor also appointed Alhaji Halilu Galadima as chairman of the Local Government Service Commission with immediate effect, to replace Alhaji Abdullahi Kulani, who was appointed as new commissioner for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation.
