The Senatorial Candidate of APC in Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Muhammad Sani Dattijo, today held an empowerment program to support 1,000 women across 7 local government areas comprising Giwa, Birnin Gwari, Igabi, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Chikun, Kajuru and Chikun.
The first phase of the distribution scheme was flagged off by Her Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe under the Dattijo Empowerment and Development Initiative (DEDI), a non governmental organization founded by Muhammad Sani Dattijo to drive inclusive development.
Speaking at the Flag off, he urged the women to come out en masse to support the party in the next general elections .
He expressed his readiness to support women across the Senatorial district if elected to represent them at the National assembly.
Members of the National Assembly, Commissioners, Council Chairmen, Party Candidates, Party Leaders and members, Party Stakeholders, Supporters are among dignitaries that attended the historic event.
Items distributed include cash, grinding machines and climate change friendly stooves in order to improve incomes and eradicates poverty among women beneficiaries.
