Delta State new Commissioner for Lands and Surveys, Barrister Kate Onianwa, on Tuesday enjoined staff in the ministry to embrace discipline for effectiveness in achieving the SMART Agenda mantra of Senator (Dr Ifeanyi Okowa led administration.
The commissioner on assumption of duty in her office in Asaba stated this when addressing the management team of her ministry.
She also admonished staff to be punctual and always dress well, adding that she would work hard with the cooperation of the staff to bring about sanity and positive changes as desired by the Okowa led administration in the state.
She stated that cooperation and discipline would bring about greater development in the ministry and frowned at staff who did their domestic works in the office instead of the jobs they were paid for by the state government.
Speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Mr Precious Ndidi Anuku, welcomed the commissioner and pledged his support and that of the staff.
In this vein the Survey General of the State, Surveyor A.C Eboka, assured the commissioner of his cooperation and support.
