An urgent call to improve on the state internally generated revenue has been made.
The Commissioner for Finance, Sir Fidelis Tilije made the call while inaugurating a 9-man Taskforce on Ground Rent, Warri Zone in Asaba.
According to him, the constitution of the taskforce was to help put an end to the over dependence on federal allocation and ensure the realization of reasonable internally generated revenue.
Growth in IGR, he stated, would help government meet the developmental needs of the state, satisfying other Deltans not under the employment of the state government, which he put at 99 percent.
