Develop bankable proposal to access financial facility – FG tells media practitioners

The federal government has urged Nigeria media practitioners to develop a bankable proposals to gain access to financial facility.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made this known at the special first anniversary edition of sectoral press briefing series organized by his ministry yesterday in Abuja.
He said the President has given directives to the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, through the Bank of Industry (BOI), to extend its single-digit interest-rate financing to media organizations in the country.
He advised media practitioners to take full advantage of this great opportunity being offered to them by the federal government.
He said that, “We are creating an enabling environment for all players and stakeholders in the media and information ecosystem thrive”.
Meanwhile, Idris disclosed that the sectoral series is in line with the desire of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to dwell on fanfare in his first year.
“But to fully be accountable to Nigerians by projecting the successes recorded in the federal government’s development objectives, known as the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“Our objective here is to enlighten, inform and educate Nigerians and the world.
“ And to ensure that everyone is carried along through the provision of detailed, relevant, credible and timely information”.
