No fewer than five illegal filling stations were identified by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Gombe state.
The operations controller Gombe field office, Mr. Yerima Kollomi told Journalists at the weekend.
He said DPR has been on surveillance to ensure that filling stations within Gombe and environs are properly checked to ensure quality delivery.
The operations controller who assured consumers of sanity in petroleum products in the state said necessary measures have been put in place to address non compliance of petroleum products by marketers.
He said during the surveillance by DPR in the state, meters of filling stations operated by petroleum marketers were properly checked to avoid being operate without rules and regulations.
