Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) has  donated over N60 million worth of rice to the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association (DEPOWA) as well as the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA).

The foundation donated 600 bags of 50kg long grain rice to DEPOWA in Abuja.

This was after it had made a similar donation of 1,200 bags of rice to the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) on Monday.

Bar. Adaora Offor, the Vice President of the Foundation, said the donations which were coming at the Christmas season was meant for distribution to families of deceased and seriously injured service personnel.

“It’s the Christmas season now and we all plan on spending quality time with our loved ones.

“So, there is no better time than now to show and share love and compassion with them for all the sacrifices they make to keep us safe,” she said.

Also speaking, the Chief of Staff to the President of SEOF, AIG Chris Ezike (rtd.) said the gesture was based on the foundation’s core value which centres around health, human services, educational development and social interventions.

Ezike noted that the foundation had thousands of widows on its programme which has by no little means empowered and alleviated their problems.

Recieving the donations, Mrs. Irabor thanked Sir Emeka Offor Foundation for its constant support towards the welfare of the military.
