The Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Comrade Nasir Idris has commended Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (gain) for launching Enhancing Access to Safe and Nutritious Diets (ENSAND) project saying that collaboration with GAIN will improve nutrition in the State.
Gov. Idris who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Attahiru Maccido made the commendation in Abuja Wednesday during the launch of ENSAND.
He noted the project represents not only a promise, but a profound commitment to the wellbeing of children in Kebbi State.
His words, “It underscores our deep-seated belief that investing in the health and nutrition of our youngest citizens is not just a responsibility but an imperative. In the heart of every child lies immense potentials ready to be unlocked.
“We firmly believe that a child who is well nourished and provided with safe nutritious diet is better prepared to face life challenges, to learn, grow and contribute positively to our society. ENSAND Project is a beacon of hope, a bridge to brighter future and a path towards a healthier and more productive generation.
“Kebbi State has always been characterized by its love to enhance the quality of life for its peoples. The launch of ENSAND Project is an embodiment success. We whole heartedly embrace this project with profound necessary support to ensure its success.
“Our government is steadfast in its commitment to create an environment where our children have access to nutrition they need to have. I will like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to GAIN for their invaluable partnership and commitment to this endavour.
“Together, we shall work tirelessly to address dietary needs of our children, empowering them to meet their food potentials and build healthier and more vibrant State. As we embark on this journey, remember that the wellbeing of our children is a collective responsibility.”
