Founder of the Esther Matthew Tonlagha Foundation, Asst. Pastor Mrs. Esther Matthew Tonlagha, has received the Community Impact Award at the AFRIMMA MusicFest Live in Dallas, Texas, United States.
The award recognises Tonlagha’s contributions to community development, empowerment and the creation of opportunities for vulnerable and underserved people.
The EMT Foundation, in a statement celebrating the recognition, described the award as a well-deserved honour for its founder and visionary, whose humanitarian work has continued to touch lives and strengthen communities.
It said Tonlagha’s vision of empowering individuals and creating sustainable opportunities had extended beyond Nigeria’s borders, with the foundation remaining committed to making a positive difference in the lives of people.
“From empowering lives to creating opportunities and building stronger communities, the vision continues to make an impact far beyond borders,” the foundation said.
The organisation described the award as a celebration not only of Tonlagha as its founder but also of the impact of the EMT Foundation’s programmes and initiatives over the years.
The foundation congratulated Tonlagha on the honour, saying, “Your impact speaks for itself.”
Through its various humanitarian and community-development initiatives, EMT Foundation focuses on supporting women, children, youths and other vulnerable members of society through education, healthcare, empowerment and livelihood interventions.
The foundation said the recognition further reinforced its commitment to its humanitarian vision and its motto, “Give to Gain.”
