The Kaduna residence of the former Minister of Defence Retired General Aliyu Gusua was yesterday besieged by several people who trooped there to witness the final burial of his late wife, Hajia Binta who died at a London hospital.
No less than six governors and other important dignitaries were present at the burial.
Prayers were said for the repose of her soul at the Yahaya Road Mosque, Kaduna, while her remains were interred at the Ungwan Sarki cemetery at about 1:30 pm.
Dignitaries who were at General Gusau’s residence to pay their last respect are the Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir El-rufai, kano State governor, Umar Ganduje, that of Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal, Nasarwa, Tanko Al-Makura, that of Gombe Ibrahim Dankwambo and Adamawa, Mohammed Umar Jibrilla.
Governor of Adamawa State, Jibrilla, described the late Hajia Binta as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.
He prayed Allah to grant her soul Aljanatu Firdausi and strength for the family to bear the loss.
