Female Advocacy for Inter Ethnic Relationships (FAIRER) has solicited Peoples Media Limited support for its campaign to stop the barrier against different ethic groups in Nigeria.
The lead advocacy of the campaign, Zubaida Ibrahin, who led other member of the teams to Peoples Media Limited headquarters in Abuja, said that People’s daily is one of the reputable dailies in Nigeria with huge readers everywhere especially in the North, adding that it would provide FAIRER the avenue to penetrate on its audiences who are mostly women, youths, religious and traditional leaders in the country.
According to her, the non governmental organization has five campaign point plans which includes acceptance of national Identity, cultural awareness, social inclusion integration, equity, Justice and equitable allocations of resource.
She noted that its mandate will ensure equities are tailored towards achieving national unity and security.
“We have identified that the media has a lot of impact in the society and journalists have better understanding of societal structures. It is because of this that we need the media to support us in telling the stories positively.
Speaking earlier, COO of Peoples Media limited who received the teams, Dr. Hameed Bello thanked the team, especially the leader, Zubaida Ibrahim for her huge concept behind the NGO to bring different ethic groups in Nigeria together.
He promised to support her in achieving the aims and objectives of FAIRER.
