The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bala Muhammed, has urged all his support groups and loyalists in Bauchi state to metamorphose into Goodluck Support Group, just as he appealed to people of Bauchi state to reciprocate the honour the President done to them in the state.
Addressing the mammoth PDP supporters in Bauchi at the Zaranda Hotel, the Minister expressed delight over the support Bauchi people are giving to President Goodluck Jonathan as he braces up for a second term in office in the next general election.
“I urge all my supporters and support groups in the state to join the Goodluck Support Group for effective campaign strategies”, he said.
Mohammed said the President need their votes, even for the sake of many appointments and opportunities given to the indigenes of the state, including Minister of the FCT, PDP national chairman and the executive secretary of TETFUND, among others.
The FCT minister further buttressed his point by stating that the incumbent President has built and rehabilitated several federal roads in the state, renovated the federal polytechnic Bauchi, Abubakar Tatari Ali polytechnic Bauchi, and was instrumental to the establishment of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital.
The minister described as unacceptable, the non pasting of President Jonathan’s posters in parts of Bauchi state in the past, saying henceforth, all his supporters and groups have been transformed into electioneering campaign apparatus for the re-election of President Jonathan.
He also debunked the allegation that the federal government is behind the endemic insurgency in parts of the north, urging people to do away with the politics of religion for peace to reign in the country in the next elections and beyond.
