The immediate past acting General Manager of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Water Board and Head of Water Quality Control Department of the Board, Mrs. Korede- Ajanaku Olanike Ibilola has been conferred with a fellowship award of the Institute of Strategic Public Negotiation of Nigeria.
The General Manager of the FCT Water Eng. Tauheed Abayomi Amusan, who paid glowing tributes to Mrs. Korede- Ajanaku Olanike Ibilola described the award as a thing of joy.
Speaking during the brief conferment ceremony which held in his office at the FCTWB Hq in Area 3, Garki, Abuja, in honour of the recipient, Engr. Amusan said, it was a thing of joy that one of theirs is found worthy to be honoured by the institute and everyone in the board is elated and rejoice with her.
His words: “while rejoicing with you on this well- deserved honour, let me remind you that to whom much is given, much is expected. This honour is for the entire board and it is my hope that it will spur others to work in concert towards achieving the organizational goals of the Board.”
The Registrar, and CEO of the Institute of Strategic Public Negotiation, Mr. Victor Oshioluemoh Esq, ably represented by Mr. Sukana Danjuma Tusha, a governing council member of the Institute, in his remarks, congratulated the recipient, Mrs. Kored- Ajanaku, Olanike, and said the prestigious Fellow membership status was conferred on her after an extensive, and meticulous evaluation of her sterling leadership qualities, remarkable achievements, impeccable transparency and high moral integrity, which manifests in every undertaking and managerial responsibilities she has handled on a consistent basis.
“The conferment of the award is to publicly celebrate your personal excellence, exceptional accomplishments, paying glowing tribute to your exemplary character which is having a positive impact on the society. This award is not only prestigious; it is also admirable because it is the apex honour of the institute.
We are optimistic that it is well deserved as you have the ability to propagate the positive values and ideologies of the institute. In addition, we are confident that you can act in an advisory capacity for the growth and advancement of all within the immediate and remote concerns of the institute as your antecedents has shown,” he said.
He saluted the GM for having such an amazon as a staff member and praised the exceptional leadership qualities demonstrated by him.
Responding, the award recipient. Mrs. Korede-Ajanaku thanked the Institute for the honour bestowed upon her and pledged to give her very best in service to her country and for the benefit of humanity.
She thanked the GM for his admirable leadership and support. In addition, she dedicated the award to God and appreciated management staff of the board and others who came to celebrate her.
Mrs Olanike holds a B.Sc .Hons in Biochemistry from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, a Master of Science, M.S.c with specialization in Water Quality Management, from the Institute for Water Education Delft, Netherlands. In addition, she holds a Master of Technology. M.Tech in Environmental Management from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO. She is a Member of several professional associations which include America Chemical Society, Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria, The Nigeria Environmental Society, amongst others.
