The butchers of Yangoji community in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have asked the chairman of the Council, Hon. Danladi Chiya to provide the dividends of democracy for the butchers residing in the community.
The traditional head of butchers (Sarkin Pawa) in Yangoji Community, Mallam Bala Mohammed who spoke to Peoples Daily Correspondent on behalf of the butchers in the community, charged the Chairman to carry the butchers along by erecting the structures in Yangoji abattoir.
Bala Mohammed further urged the chairman to drill borehole in abattoir to boost portable drinking water there and begged the Chairman for basic necessities of life in Yangoji community.
He, therefore, appealed to Kwali council boss to deem it necessary to renovate their mosque in Yangoji and pleaded for a generator set.
Speaking in the same vein, a butcher in the area Mr Yusuf shago called on the chairman to carry the Hausa-Fulani along in the affairs of things, saying that the Hausa-Fulani were yet to feel the impact of the present administration of the Area Council and urged the Chairman to listen to the voice of the Poor.
Shago, therefore, noted with nostalgia that politicians used the Hausa-Fulani during the electioneering campaign and dumped them when they were successful.
On his part, the Madaki of butchers in Yangoji, Mr. Saidu Jibrin, urged the Chairman to provide permanent sites for the butchers at the grassroots in Kwali Area to enable them to pay the revenue.
Jibrin said the butchers in Kwali and its environs would continue to support the administration of the Area council.
