The federal government of Nigeria through ministry of Mines and Steels concluded arrangement to support over 150 metal fabricators in Jigawa state.
This was disclosed by the Chief geologist, Federal Ministry of Mines and Steels, Mohammed Ibrahim, during a visit to office of Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists, in Dutse..
He explained that as part of federal government’s effort to discourage importation of steel materials thousands of Nigerians metal fabricators will be train and sensitize on how to access government’s funds allocated for mines and steel businesses.
According to him, federal government under present administration observed that, if young Nigerians fabricators were supported can do better in their business and will reduce large number of unemployment youths across the country.
Mohammed said, the programme will also support brilliant youths particular the handicap to became self reliance and at the same times to boost the economy.
He said, the funds would be disburse to beneficiaries through Nigerian Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI) as intermediary.
He however urged successful beneficiaries to utilize the funds properly for supporting federal government to achieve it desire goals of reducing unemployment rate and boosting the economy.
