Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has commissioned 4.3 kilometre Bosso Estate road constructed at the cost of N577,607,101.54, by the Niger state government.
Fayemi, who is the Chairman Nigerian Governors Forum at the official commissioning of reconstruction and rehabilitation of Bosso Estate roads network in Minna, however emphasized the need for proper maintenance culture.
He reiterated that the country is going through a challenging moment due to limited resources, adding that all the governors are trying to meet the yearnings of their various states to ensure provision of dividend of democracy within the limited resources available to them.
He assured Nigerians of government welfare and security of their lives and properties that is the primary objectives of governance.
According to him, “the last congress was very good. Naturally when you are in a competition, there might be few skemishes along the line but when you speak collectively I think you can give us a pass mark for what has happened”.
Also speaking, Niger state Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, commended President Muhammadu Buhari for approval of funds for states development as well as funds for roads construction which will alleviate the plight of the citizenry.
Earlier, the State Commissioner of Works, Mamman Musa said the contracts were 2.7 kilometre and 1.6 kilometre respectively awarded to different companies for a duration of three dry months but was delayed due to the impact of COVID-19.
