*Introduce Skills to compliment Education .

Minister of State for Education,Honourable Yusulf Sununu has said Government is set to mop up 10.6million out of school children across the six geo-political zones as part of the agenda of the present government to prioritize education and address negative devices witnessed amongst out of school children .

The minister also expressed satisfactions that the National Assembly and indeed the parliament have become an incubator for exceptional leadership in Nigeria ,stressing that the emergence of two senators as President and Vice President of Nigeria , a senator as Secretary of the Government of the Federal ,a former speaker of the House of Representatives and former Senator as first lady shows the quality of individuals the parliament has produced does far.

The minister made those remarks when he received the National Forum of Former All Progressives Congress Legislators under the leadership of former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Honourable Babangida Nguroje , where he equally called on the former legislators to brace up to support the current administration through quality advise and determination to serve it called upon.

In his address National coordinator of the Forum ,Honourable Nguroje while congratulating the minister on his appointment drew his attention to the need to prioritize education of the less privileged and ensure that there is a significant upward trend in the number of children in schools, stressing that “no country can make any meaningful development if such country fails to prioritize education because education is the bedrock of every nation.

Honourable Nguroje, “Even the economic challenges we face today can be resolved through quality education of our children and we must do all within our powers to make education a top priority for the benefit of Nigeria and Nigerians “.

The coordinator who spoke on behalf of the Forum also stated that the forum support the current administration in anyway possible adding that ” this is our country ,we don’t have any other country we can call our own , we must secure the future generation with good policies and exhibit a high sense of patriotism”.

On his part again, the minister expressed delight at the visit and assured that the renewed agenda of the current administration will be anchored on trust .

According to him, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who doubles as leader of the All Progressives Congress has been tested,the APC as a party has equally been tested ,”what is now left is trust , we need Nigerians to trust out President and also trust our party”.

The minister pointed out that,”we want to lay a lasting foundation that will give people the confidence that, they can count on former parliamentarians in leadership positions . While we mop up about 10.6million out of school children we will introduce skill acquisition programmes to compliment our educational sector and we are ready to partner with you as former lawmakers to be able to deliver on our mandate”..

He also urged the former lawmakers to create a bounding unity amongst them such that will and initiate schemes that will be helpful and useful to there members in difficult circumstances .
