The former secretary of  Gwagwalada Area Council in the FCT, Hon.

Usman Yahaya, has emerged as the chairmanship candidate of APC in Gwagwalada.

In an interview with newsmen after his affirmation in Gwagwalada, Yahaya said if elected he would provide dividends of democracy for the people in the area.

He also said if given the mandate he would focus on primary healthcare, rural infrastructures as well as primary education, adding that empowerment of youths would be given a priority.

He called on the entire residents of Gwagwalada Area Council to remain peaceful during the electioneering campaign, tasking them to educate their people on what they should expect from the elected politicians.

He then appealed to the party executives as well as the members to work for APC in 2026, and urged them to vote for the ruling party in 2027 election so that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu will emerge as the winner.

He expressed gratitude for those contestants who stepped down for him, while thanking the Gwagwalada APC executives, ward officials and state executives for their support.
