Foxx to ‘play Tyson with CGI’s help’

Date:

Mike Tyson has claimed that Jamie Foxx will play him in a film, with the use of special effects to portray him at different ages.

The Oscar-winning actor is set to take the role of Mike in a movie about the boxer’s troubled life, and director Martin Scorsese is also said to be involved, according to the Daily Mirror.

But as Mike is 48 and Jamie is 46, the film will use the same CGI technology that transformed Brad Pitt into an old man and a baby in The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.

Mike said: “Me and Jamie Foxx are in discussion, and we gonna do it.

“Within a year to 18 months, we’re going to do the Mike Tyson story and he’s going to portray me, and now they have this new animation; because you know Jamie’s pretty much my age so he can’t portray me but they have this new system.”

The boxer added that he would only watch the film on his own because in a cinema he thought other viewers would say, “Oh you d***.”

He also said that Jamie had asked him to help out with training for the part to help him to get into shape as a convincing heavyweight champion.
