GOC 1 Div lauds Depot Nigerian Army for high level discipline

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Faruk Yahaya has said Depot Nigerian Army has maintained its high level of discipline and commitment towards maintaining standards of the Army.
He stated this at the annual West African Social Activities (WASA) held at Depot Nigerian Army Parade Ground marking the end of 2019 activities.
General Yahaya urged Depot to remain dedicated, proactive, committed and respectful to the Nigerian Army status.
The GOC reminded them of the need to remain professional and maintain discipline, courage, loyalty and to avoid anything that can undermine their professionalism as Nigerian Army has engaged in many operations.
He said the WASA is to showcase the cultural heritage and the values of the Army which originated since colonial period.
In his welcome address, the Commandant Depot Nigerian Army, Major General Sani Mohammed said WASA signifies 2019 ended successfully.
General Mohammed said the Chindit Cantonment has commenced 2020 activities which will go along with the COAS vision.
The Commandant acknowledged the guidance, support to the Army institutions for the year 2019 from the Chief of Army Staff.
