The All Progressive Congress( APC) in Gombe state says it will investigate the boiling issue involving an assault of a serving Councillor in Shamaki ward Abdulrahman Abubakar by the aide to governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya and a driver to the Chief of Staff of Government House Gombe Inuwa Kari.
The party also assured full investigation of the matter which they described it as one of cardinal point to intervent and ensure that the matter is addressed.
According to a press release signed and made available to Journalists by the state Publicity secretary of the party Moses Kari in Gombe said the party condemned all forms of violence and unlawful conduct cited it as short of values, discipline and democratic culture that APC stand for.
The APC Gombe State Chapter, expresses deep concern over the circulation of a viral video showing an assault involving party member Adamu Abdullahi Danko, an aide in the Office of the Chief of Staff, and serving councillor Abdulrahman Abubakar, also a member of the APC
Also, the party unequivocally condemns all forms of violence and unlawful conduct.
“This incident is deeply troubling and falls far short of the values, discipline, and democratic culture that the APC stands for”, the statement said.
