Gombe first lady, Adama donates relief items to disables

Wife of Gombe state governor, Hajiya Adama Dankwambo yesterday donated materials to persons living with disability within the state.
The first lady who was represented by wife of the deputy governor Mrs. Susan Charles Iliya said the distribution of the materials was aimed at alleviating the suffering of persons living with disability.
She said the present administration will continue to do its best in ensuring that persons living with disability have sense of belonging in the society.
While emphasizing the need, the first lady said government cannot do it alone which she called on corporate bodies and individual to put hand on deck to support unable persons.
The materials donated include 200 bags of rice, 300 cartoon of sphaggti, 25 bags of salt, 100 packet of sugar, 100 pieces of hearing aid, 100 pieces of walking stick, 50 wheel chairs, 50 clutches and N500, 000 cash donation.
Commending the government, State chairman of persons living with disability Umaru Ali Goro thank the first lady for the gesture and promise that the material will be distributed to the beneficiaries accordingly.
He appealed to government to assist the association with a vehicle to enable them performs their duties effectively.
The chairman called on its members to come out amasses and register for their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) even as he said 2019 general elections is drawing nearer.
