Gombe First Lady pledges support to eliminate GBV

The Wife of Gombe state governor Hajiya Asma’u Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya has pledged support to eliminate Gender Based Violence which has been a major challenge that affects women and children.

The first lady who was represented by the commissioner  of women affairs and social development Hon. Asma’u Mohammed Iganus made the pledged in Gombe at the weekend while commemorating the International women’s day.

She said her priority was to ensure that the Gender Based violence is eradicated.

“To succeed in the fight against gender, all hands must be on deck to actualize the desired goal”, the first lady said.
