Gombe: Gov Dankwambo forced me out of PDP – Sen. Saidu Kumo

Date:

From David Hassan, Gombe

Peoples Democratic Party chieftain (PDP) in Gombe State Sen. Saidu Umar Kumo has resign his memsahib from the party.
Sen. Kumo while addressing Journalists yesterday in his residence in Gombe said time has come for him to resign his membership from Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
He said his resignation from the party has nothing to do with the affairs of the party or having any problem with state or national secretariats of the party.
“My resignation from the party was to allow free access for other members of the party to strive, since the governor of the state does not need my existence in PDP,” he said.
He said living the party will help him make consultation and study other political parties carefully before engaging himself.
It could be recalled that Sen. Kumo was once a National Secretary of All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and former gubernatorial candidate on the platform of the ANPP in 2011 in Gombe state.
He was also a campaign Director to Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo during 2015 general election, and was believed to have fought gallantly to ensure his victory at the poll before their parting ways.
While urging his supporters to remain calm, he called on them to remain in the PDP; but advised that anyone who wants to join him in next political journey it will be a welcome development.
