Supervising commissioner of trade in Gombe state, Barrister Babagoro Abdulkadir Yahaya said governor Ibrahim Hassan, Dankwambo has approved the sum of N9Million for the development of small scale industries in the state.
Yahaya made this known yesterday in Gombe during handing over notes to the new appointed commissioner of Trade Alhaji Bakura Mohammed Bajoga in his office.
He explained that the nine million naira loan approved by the government was meant for small scale industries even as he said will go a long way in assisting them from hardship, adding that government had taken a wise decision on the matter. Yahaya also called on the new commissioner to put more effort in order to continue with the developmental programmes even as he appealed that Gombe modern market which is under construction, government should give adequate attention on the project to enable citizens benefit from the gesture.
Speaking further, the out-going commissioner told the new commissioner that a Memoranda was sent to the state government requesting for more staff to be recruited into the ministries, noting that there is need for more staff to enable the ministry forge ahead he said. He said plan to construct Gombe modern market and Inland trade station at Kwami road would boost activities of citizens, adding that government is making frantic effort to ensure that the construction of both the modern market and the inland trade station to be completed in good time. Responding, the commissioner of Trade Gombe state, Alhaji Bakura Mohammed Bajoga solicited his support to assist the ministry even as he promised to carry every one along in the ministry, stressing that his administration would not relent in pursuing the ministry mandate from the government he said.
