A Gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr. Jamil Gwamna yesterday announced his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC)
His defection came barely 24 hour after the just concluded PDP Gubernatorial primaries that took place across the country.
He said his defection into APC was aimed at making a difference in the party, saying that the just concluded gubernatorial primary election was not conducted in an orderly manner.
The aspirant, who did not hide his feelings, called on his supporters to join him in defecting to the opposition party.
He assured the Party that he will not relent in working hard to ensure that APC form a government in the forth coming general elections in Gombe State.
According to him, his aspirations for vying for the seat was not his personal interest but for the people interest who needed his services.
He, however, thanked his supporters specifically the youths for working hard in ensuring that he clinched the gubernatorial ticket under PDP but was denied the mandate.
Jamil Gwamna. who explained that he joined the Peoples Democratic Party in 2007, said he decided to defect due to lack of understanding within the party.
“For the best of my knowledge, I will continue to do my best in ensuring to promote the affairs of APC and its members,” he said.
He pledged support for President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC gubernatorial candidate Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya in 2019 without hindrance.
