Gombe state Agency for the control of AIDS (GOMSACA) has called on Gombe state government to do the needful by releasing funds to curtail the scourge of HIV/AIDS.
Project manager of the Agency Dr. Suraj Abdulkarim who made the appealed in an interview with our correspondent on Monday said the agency is facing a lot of challenge without release of funds by the government to tackle the disease.
He however said that N160million was approved last year by the government to fight against the disease but only N5million was released.
Dr. Abdulkarim also explained that in this year’s budget government has approved a N180million for the agency to carry out their duty but no release of funds have been made to the agency.
