The Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo, has flagged off the distribution of the annual Ramadan package to households in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto state.
This was according to a statement signed and issued by Director Press and Public Relations, Mohammed A. Ahmed.
He said the kind gesture is to complement the efforts of both the Federal and State Governments, especially during this holy month of Ramadan.
The items distributed million Naira. include bags of parboiled rice, millet, maize and cash gifts worth more than one hundred and fifty million (150) .
The minister assured the people of the unwavering commitment of His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu, GCFR to improving the quality of lives of Nigerians through various policies and programmes under the Renowned Hope Agenda, which cuts across many sectors.
The beneficiaries, including party stalwarts, religious leaders, and members of trade unions, as well as security agencies, cut across the entire eleven (11) wards of the L.G.A.
Other beneficiaries were Women and Youth Groups, as well as social media groups, the elderly, and the needy in society.
Meanwhile, The beneficiaries were full of praises and eternally thankful for the life-saving intervention .
