The Niger State Executive Council has proposed an estimate of N1.20 trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year for approval.
Governor’s Special Adviser on Digital Media and Strategy Abdullberqy Usman Ebbo on his social media handle X, said that the Commissioner of Budget and Planning, Mustapha Ndajiwo made this known during his presentation at the government house council meeting.
Ebbo noted that the commissioner informed the Council that the estimate is made up of N188.42bn or 15.68% recurrent and 1.01tn or 84.34% capital expenditure respectively.
He said when compared with the approved budget of 2024, the estimate represents an increase of 32.94% this fiscal year.
According to him, the Commissioner in his analysis also stated that even though the 2024 approved budget was supplemented with the sum of N191.98bn, the breakdown of the draft 2025 proposals revealed an increase of 1.18% and 32.98% in recurrent and capital expenditure respectively.
