Governor Bago stated this in an interface with the contractors handling various projects in the state in a video on social media, saying that he stopped payment of their Contract Verification (CV) because of sharp practices, hence disappointed about their performances.

He expressed disappointment over the pace of work, saying it’s a shame when some contractors have five kilometers and have delivered one hundred percent while some are still battling with drainages.

The governor however revoked the consultants of ministry of work and new Niger development projects for thier lackadaisical attitude of not reporting the right thing based on the ongoing projects across the state.

He revealed that they have so much money tied down in the inpages, saying all contractors who have inpages and have already mobilize to site through the inpages the money will be available for them to work.

Bago maintained that he will only approve the payment for those he thinks have capacity to deliver.
