From Godwin Agia, Jalingo
Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba on Wednesday inaugurated the Young Professionals Scheme to build quality infrastructures across the 16 local government areas to enhance quality education among Taraba citizens.
Kefas noted during the flagged off in Jalingo that the steps were in fulfilment of his administration’s promises to provide good governance and quality education for citizens.
He said the scheme would not only provide schools infrastructures but also create jobs for teaming youths.
He explained that, the machines were directly imported from a reputable firm from South Africa to enable the state government to construct new school buildings across all the 16 Local Government Areas of the state.
He said that the training was under the Young Professionals Scheme (YPS), an initiative of his administration.
“One of the central pillars of our vision has always been the provision of free, high-quality education for primary and secondary schools, backed by the necessary infrastructure that will stand the test of time.
“Today, we are here to flag off the training of our dynamic young people on the use of the newly acquired 54 Hydroform block-making machines.
“These machines, imported directly from the highly reputable Hydroform International of South Africa, are state-of-the-art and designed to revolutionize the way we build.”
