The Special Adviser on Due Process to the Bauchi State governor, Muhammad Sirajo Garba has declared his ambition to vie for Suru/Bagudo Federal Constituency in Kebbi State under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking to newsmen in his country home Bagudo, the aspirant revealed that his manifesto if elected would accord utmost priority to youth empowerment through the establishment of skills acquisition centers across the constituency.

He noted that most of atrocities being committed by youths was mostly as a result of redundancy and unemployment, “if they are empowered, I believe crime and other vices will be at the barest minimum if not eradicated, which is why my primary responsibility if elected will be to focus attention on youth development.”

Garba, a retired banker opined that there would be no meaningful development in any society if poverty and hunger becomes a predicament amongst the people.

He further declared that his chances to emerge the flag bearer of the party and of course, the subsequent member representing the constituency were very clear “since before I even declared my intent to contest for the seat, I have been empowering my people in the two local governments, so I am well known here.”

According to him, if elected he would ensure that he made meaningful contributions in the National Assembly for the overall development of his constituency, the state and country at large. “I assure you that I will not be there as a seat warmer” he declared.
