Gov. Yusuf urges Muslims to uphold Prophet Muhammad’s teachings

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has congratulated Muslims across Kano State and Nigeria on the occasion of the Maulud celebration commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Tuesday.

Governor Yusuf urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the life, teachings and exemplary character of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his virtues of peace, justice, compassion, honesty, patience and tolerance.

He called on the Muslim faithful to demonstrate these values in their daily lives and promote peaceful coexistence, unity and mutual respect among people of different backgrounds.

The governor also urged parents, religious leaders and community elders to intensify efforts in educating younger generations about the teachings and exemplary conduct of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Governor Yusuf prayed for continued peace, stability and prosperity in Kano State and Nigeria, while urging the people to continue supporting efforts aimed at improving the wellbeing of citizens.

The Governor used the occasion to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tunubu  and his amiable running mate, the Vice President Kashim Shettima for a successful first tenure and a hitch free reelection in 2027.

He also called on them to pray for peace, progress and unity across the country.
