Group decries construction of schools without teachers in Jigawa

A group of Jigawa concern citizens have decried more construction of schools without teachers in the state.

The chairperson advocacy committee of the group, Hajiya Furera Abdullahi Baffa dropped the hint while briefing news men on their findings on shortages of manpower in Jigawa civil service.

Hajiya Furera who said, massive retirement without recruitment hit Jigawa civil services said if measures are not taken, it m may lead to collapse of the state.

According to her, the present administration has done well in the provision of infrastructure but most of of the infrastructures are empty without manpower to manage it.

She said, their findings showed that, there are numbers of schools with one or two teachers while others are closed due to lack teachers.

The chairperson also said, the number of retirees are almost competing with the numbers of current civil servants as the state has only about fifty eight thousands civil servants.
