A coalitions of Civil Society Organisation said it has sensitized communities in Chikun Local Goverment and kaduna North Local Goverment Areas of the State on how to prevent spread of Covid-19 pendemic and Gender Based Violences (GBV)
Speaking to the media in kaduna yesterday Peter Ezekiel, Executive Director Eagle Lead Development
said even though the Covid-19 Pandemic infection rate is dropping, it does not mean Nigeria is free from the manace.
Ezekiel who is the Focal person in Chikun LGA called on the Federal and State Governments to take necessary measures to halt community transmission of Coronavirus (COVID-19), especially in the rural area.
According to him, community transmission of COVID-19 can have an unimaginable impact on children.
”More preventive actions need to be taken to ensure the protection and well-being of children, whose lives hangs in the balance due to the pandemic.”
