Just as the FCT Area Councils’ elections are approaching, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister of State, Dr Rahmatu Tijjani Aliyu, has called on the entire residents of Gwagwalada across the ten political wards to cast their votes for the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the 12th of February, 2022.
The Minister, who made the call while addressing the APC supporters / Members during the party flag-off ceremony in Gwagwalada on Saturday, further urged the residents to ensure that the guard their votes.
She, therefore, charged the electorates to vote for the flag bearer of APC in Gwagwalada, Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri during the forthcoming elections and expressed delight over the massive turnout of the people.
Also speaking, the former House of Representatives representing Abuja South Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Zakari Angulu Dobi, who is now the Mandate Secretary in charge of the FCT Transport Secretariat, advised the people of Gwagwalada to vote for the APC Candidates.
On his part, the APC Chairman in the FCT, Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, also canvassed for votes for the Candidates of APC.
In interview, the flag bearer of APC in Gwagwalada, Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri, urged the entire residents of Gwagwalada to be law abiding citizens throughout the elections period.
He said that the APC had been winning elections in Gwagwalada for long time now, adding that the 2022 elections the APC would emerge victoriously.
Giri, however, expressed satisfaction over the turnout of the electorates during the flag-off and appreciated the efforts of the Minister.
