Handball veterans congratulate new sports minister

The Nigeria Handball Veterans has congratulated the newly-appointed Minister of Sports and Chairman, National Sports Commission, Dr. Tamuno Danagogo who was sworn into office Wednesday morning by President Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR, to replace Alhaji Bolaji Abdullahi.

In a congratulatory letter addressed to the Minister and signed by its Chairman, Hon. Jacob Mark, said that no doubt that the coming of the former Chairman of Traditional Sports Association in Rivers State would change the fortune of sports especially handball to memorable one.

It is our special pleasure to, on behalf of the entire Nigeria handball family, congratulate you on your new appointment and wish you tremendous success in your tenure.

Jacob also pointed out that the handball veterans in Nigeria is an integral component in the development of prospect players for the country especially the just concluded Mega Veterans Championship in Abuja where over twenty five teams took part, we welcome you and promised to partner into this challenge.

According to Jacob, the Handball Veterans will accord total support to the former Commissioner of Urban Development in Rivers State in ensuring the sports in Nigeria are tremendously lifted both locally and globally in order to above its present level.

As we congratulate you, we will soon seek heart-to-heart interaction with you in order to fine lasting solution to some of the enormous challenges in handball, once again congratulations.
