The Vice Chancellor, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Professor Muhammad Nasir Maiturare has said that the Institution have signed a contract agreement worth over one billion naira for the construction of first phase of the long proposed Medical College.
Professor Maiturare while speaking during the ceremony, stated that the University would attain a milestone considering the critical nature of the project to the life of the institution.
He said the University was ready to provide the best possible environment in terms of medical practices, adding that it was hoped to be one of the best medical projects in Nigeria and so nothing short of high quality structures would be accepted from the contractors.
Maiturare hinted that contract for the construction of Information Communication Technology Resource Centre was also being signed, with serious commitment needed from the contractors who should not only see themselves as working for the University, but as stakeholders who are
ready to provide the best for the benefit of all.
