The Bishop of Diocese of Kaduna Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Timothy Yahaya has said that today ‘s Independence Day celebration should be a wake up to all Nigerians to address the many problems bedeviling the country and ensure that justice reigns in the country.

He blamed the situation on mediocrity of leaders saying those in the helms of power are not sincere in tackling the problems in the land.
He, however, warned them that it is time to do the needful unless the people might be pushed to look for solution by themselves which will not be help the leaders.
Speaking on hate speech in the country Bishop Yahaya said telling the leaders truth is not hate speech but the truth must not be used to mobilise violence.
“It is a fact that people were killed in some parts of the country yesterday and the fight against corruption seems not to be bringing the desire result so if one comes out to say it the leaders will termed it as hate speech.
In her reaction the newly Inaugurated Chancellor Justice Adefope-Okojie said she received the staff of office soberly and promised to be fair and just to all.
