The National Inter-Faith and Religious Organization for Peace (NIFROP) has called on religious leaders to intensify prayers for Nigerian troops fighting insurgency in the country.
According to the group, Nigerian Army and it’s troops deserve all the prayers and support to continue to sustain the victory against insurg especially Boko Haram and other killer groups in the country.
It added that all Nigerians irrespective of faith must come together to pray for continuous and divine guidance for those actively involved in the battlefield.
NIFROP, in a press conference, addressed by its President, Bishop Sunday Garuba on Sunday in Abuja, hailed Lt. Gen Buratai and his relentless troops for their immeasurable sacrifices for the safety and security of the nation.
He noted that the Army’s patriotism came to the fore during the end of the year when it seemed as though the Boko Haram terrorist were on the rise again.
