Kaduna govt vows to fish-out new teachers with fake certificates

Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB Executive Chairman Malam Nasiru Umar, said the board will verify all application tendered by those trying to replace over 21.000 disengaged teachers so as to fish out those with fake certificates.
He disclosed this to news men over the weekend on the recruitment of teachers and way forward in the state.
According to him, there will be no compromise in the ongoing recruitment exercise.
He explained that the data entries and analysis were made and the name of the shortlisted candidates of 24,979 applicants were released.
“SUBEB directors and members of SUBEB board. The team of the interviewers were five man committee each. Members were drawn from:Education Sector Support Programme in Nigeria (ESSPIN-TDP), Education Data Research and Evaluation in Nigeria (EDOREN),Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Teachers Service Board (TSB), Civil Service Commission (CSC),Seasoned Educationists. The interview covered these areas: General knowledge, Personal trait, reading/writing, Comprehensive and self expression”
“A technical committee will do the selection of successful candidates to be vetted by the main committee. The list will then be released to the 23 LGEAS for posting to our public primary schools,” Umar said.
