Kaduna State Government and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to host the 2026 Nigeria Public Relations Week (NPRW), formalizing the state’s selection as host of the prestigious national event.

Governor Uba Sani described Kaduna’s selection as both an honor and a call to responsible stewardship. He said the 2026 NPRW theme, “Food Security: From Policy Papers to Public Plates – The Public Relations Imperatives,” reflects a critical national priority and aligns with his administration’s resolve to address poverty, unemployment, and insecurity through resilient and inclusive food systems.

The NIPR Governing Council outlined a robust program for the Week, which will include the Institute’s Annual General Meeting, strategic media engagements, an executive roundtable on food security, fellowship inductions, capacity-building sessions, and guided tours of key projects across the state. More than 2,000 participants from within Nigeria and abroad are expected to attend.
