A coalition of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), groups in Kano has formally written to the Acting National Chairman of the party, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, over the state leadership dispute.

The groups, including “APC Kadangaren Bakin Tulu” and “APC ‘Yan Takwas,” want him to dissolve the Abdullahi Abbas-led APC leadership in Kano State.

The groups accused Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas of dictatorship and running the party like a personal property.

Submitting the request on behalf of the groups at the APC Headquarters in Abuja, Nura Na’Annabi said they took the decision to save the party from another defeat in the 2027 elections.

Parts of the accusations include unguarded utterances and threats that led to the party’s woeful failure in Kano during the 2023 polls.

According to Na’Annabi, “We are calling on you to act in order to avoid a repeat of the problems in 2027.”

The coalition had issued an ultimatum to the APC chairman in Kano to resign honorably or face legal action.

The formal complaint to the national body of the APC comes a few weeks after Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who hailed from Kano resigned from his position.
