Nathaniel Obasefunmi, currently an applicant into one of Nigeria’s University is suffering from end stage kidney problem.

Though in need of N5 million to undergo a kidney transplant in India, he needs an average of N100 from at least 100,000 Nigerians to meet this amount.

By sending SHI HELP NATHANIEL to 35140, N5 million could be raised faster to save his life.

According to Daniel Soetan, Executive Director of an Abuja based nongovernmental organization, Sought and Help Initiative Nigeria (SHI), with N100 from about 100,000 people, Nathaniel would not have to wait endlessly for a few rich Nigerians considering the urgency of his medical need.

He said, “We only need about fifty to hundred thousand SMS of a hundred naira each to raise five million naira for Nathaniel to undergo a medical trip to India.”

Nathaniel, who had initially obtained a National Diploma Certificate from the department of Office Technology Management of Kwara State Polytechnic, had last year April gone to write JAMB when on his return, he suddenly started vomiting.

Though it was thought to be malaria, Nathaniel was later diagnosed to be suffering from kidney disease. His mother, Mrs. Grace Obasefunmi, a level 10 teacher with Ilota Junior Secondary School in Ilorin South local government area of Kwara state recalled, “We actually started dialysis session around June last year and we have been on it since then.

“We initially started the dialysis on twice a week arrangement but later, they had to increase it to three times a week. Dialysis per month costs N420,000 and we have been on it for almost a year.

“My husband and I have exhausted our life savings and incurred loans to the tune of N4 million”, Mrs. Grace bemoaned.

Pleading on behalf of Nathaniel, Mr. Soetan called on well meaning Nigerians to send the SMS as many times as possible or send money through Guarantee Trust Bank to Obasefunmi Aaron Gbenga with account number 0115914950.
