The Executive Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo, has successfully cleared the major waste dumping site located at Papu, opposite Kayarda Junction, fulfilling a recent directive aimed at restoring environmental sanitation to the area.
The evacuation exercise, which has now been fully completed, followed a personal inspection of the site by the Chairman.
Decrying the condition of the dump, Hon. Shekwolo ordered the immediate deployment of personnel and equipment to clear the accumulated refuse, a directive that has now given the environment a completely renewed appearance.
For months, the waste dump had been a growing source of worry for locals, posing significant environmental and public health hazards to nearby residential areas.
Following the successful cleanup, residents of Angwan Gade, Kayarda, and ne mmighboring communities have expressed deep appreciation for the administration’s swift intervention.
Many community members commended the Chairman for his responsive governance, noting that the action has directly translated official promises into tangible, visible results for the community.
According to a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary of the Kuje Area Council, Musa Samson Adayilo, the successful evacuation underscores the current administration’s unwavering commitment to environmental sanitation, public health, and maintaining a clean, sustainable environment for all residents of the Area Council.
