A 20 year old man, Abubakar Abdu of Gengle village in Mayo-belwa local government area of Adamawa state has been apprehended by the police for alleged murder of a 30 year old woman.
Disclosing the development through a press release in Yola, Spokesman of the Command,SP Suleiman Nguroje said that the suspect was arrested by the Police detectives on 10th November 2024, for stabbing to death, one 30 years old Azumi Abubakar.
“The suspect had on 7/11/2024 at about 0300hrs broke into the house of the victim and stole some quantity of maize; but in an attempt to escape, the victim sighted the suspect and called the suspect by his name.
“Upon realizing that he was noticed, the suspect immediately attacked the victim by stabbing her with a knife, and she died shortly after.
“The arrest followed the complaint received from the victim’s husband”.
The police added that the victim will soon be charged to court.
