A 42- year old man, Mr Ejiro Patrick, who hails from Delta State yesterday beat up his wife to a state of coma and death.
The incident happened along kilometer 14 Tyomu, Gboko road where the man said to be a fisherman mercilessly beat up the wife.
An eye witness said Ejiro’s anger against his wife was that she sold some items belonging to the family and did not remit 5,000 naira.
According to him, the victim bled profusely from the nostrils and was later rushed to the Benue State Teaching Hospital, BSUTH where she was confirmed dead and her body has been deposited at the hospital mortuary.
When contacted on the incident, Police Spokesperson DSP Catherine Anene confirmed it, intimating that the suspect has been arrested.
